Author Jessica A. Barnum and illustrator Abigail M. Francis met when Abigail was a student of Jessica’s at Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg, Vermont. Together they brought Alu to life and have self-published 'Round the World with Lulu Press, Inc. 
 
When Jessica moved to Carbondale, Colorado, she asked Amanda Castillo McCamant at the Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork to translate the book in Spanish, and Amanda said yes!  
 
Jessica, Abigail and Amanda are excited to present the story in two languages so people of all ages can swim in the richness of language, story, enjoyment and education.
